Handpainted acrylics to start with. A collection of stunning skylines with the sun at various heights but some definite sunset vibes on some of them. With the detail on the plants and the combination of colors deserves to be at the top of the list.
These originally made the palm tree nails list but the deep purple sky mixed with the low sun spread over two nails is just too good. It suits here better and I’m in love with that dark deep purple. It looks like a little glitter was used at the top for the stars in the sky.
These cute sunset nails have a bit more of a playful style. The sun is going down but still has a nice bright yellow and I’m loving the beach vibes and the shade change on the water.
Started with a white base and sponged on the pink-orange-yellow gradient. Then an eyeshadow sponge applicator to create the white clouds, after that I stamped on the palm trees and the hammock images using a black stamping polish. Finished with matte topcoat! Loving the red sky and the little hammock.
Remember, you don’t need to do the same design on every finger.
Oh wow do I love this idea. Rather than having the sun itself, this is a more subtle take using an Ombre style which simply suggests the sundown at the bottom of the nails. The silhouette of the trees really works here.
The matte backgrounds here are just fantastic looking. Here we’ve got more of a desert theme to these nails and I’m loving it.
Another example of sunset ombré nails. A few stones on the ring finger with a solid color as well.
These ombre nails have a similar colorway but don’t expressly say sundown. If you wanted to go with the shades but maybe something more solemn this is a good way to go. The glittery pink is a playful combination.
With neon pigment powders and yin & yang nail art brushes, we’ve got an almost rainbow-style sunset here. There’s so much color variation between the sky and the water I just love them.
This set is a darker take on the style and we’re bordering on royal blue Ombre nails . The lighter blue at the bottom gives a later take on sunset and the black french tip really works with the darker style.
Acrylic overlays with a cool colorway giving a sunset vibe.
I think the pattern we’re seeing here is any Ombre nails ending in a yellow – it pretty much looks like a sunset nail design. Subtle but fun. I really like this.
A single nail but it really works with this colorway and the deep glittery purple nail looks great.
This unique take goes from the cuticle instead of the tip and the peach shade is unique but really works. I’m maybe not as big a fan of the stark black nail in this set but I can really dig the idea.
A very detailed set here. You might want to zoom in to really appreciate the level of detail on this nail art.
Bright Summer sunset nails, Handpainted and I love the thin black frame to the entire nail as it really highlights the rest of the design.
Gel sunset nails that took about 2.5 hours. I like the colorway staying on theme here and the little stars on the ring finger.
These acrylic’s are fantastic and the shade absolutely says sundown.
Stick on Ombre nails.
I think this is the first time we’ve seen solid yellow nails on this list. The purple tip on one nail still gives us the sunset style but I’m not a huge fan of the purple glitter nail personally.
So technically these are Lion King nails. BUT they do that that sunset vibe with the dark orange and they’re just so fantastic I needed a reason to share them.
Some yellow acrylic coffin nails give the sunset design by just shifting yellow shades.
Some fall shades and stamps add leaves which is a cool take. I like the hint of a dark purple sky at the top.
Sunrises nowadays are looking a lot like this. These darker blue sky nails are just fantastic looking. If you made it this far through the list, you deserve to see them.
In contrast, this nail set is much brighter and you can see the sun behind the trees on the ring finger.
These Ombre’s have an almost watercolor look to them.
The second desert style on the list and most of them have a dark sky behind them (but they’re still fantastic). Look at the colorway on the thumbnail though.
I really like this idea of having the side of the nails hint at the sunlight and not just the tip. Especially if you like the stiletto style this is a great idea.
Hand-painted acrylic nails with some incredible detail. I’m always a sucker for adding a unique look to each finger.
Sunset made with custom mixed color acrylics & scenery freehand painted. Almond nails are cute enough but this tree spreading over 6 fingers are fantastic .
Bit more of a unique take here.
Red rock mountain-scape ? and we’re back to that matte style here. I love it.
Landscape design ? Again, spreading a design over the entire set is fantastic and normally I wouldn’t like nails this dark but the mountain line is lovely and the detail on that sun is to die for <3.
Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn. Hand drawn using details brushes and a slightly different design for each finger.
Another take on the Ombre idea, the yellow at the top suggests an earlier sunset and the deep purple tips are great looking.
If you wanted something a bit more glammed up this set has a few small stones on the index finger and this fantastic swirly glittery look on the middle two.
I really like this one, done using normal nail varnish, freehand and the artist did it on their own nails. The only mistake I can see here is they didn’t do it on mine first. The colorway of the clouds is fantastic.
Another desert-style take but rather than the dark matte look, this set has some glittery take with a transparent top and dark black tips.
Another yellow and orange Ombre style but this time with a little glitter added.
